Music
Hello! My name is Marylou Garces. I graduated from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2017. I have been teaching for 5 years. I am happy to serve our wonderful students and our community.
In music class, students will learn to read, write, and play music. We will focus on different styles of music and play different types of instruments. Students will participate in developing important lifelong skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, social and emotional learning, and peer assessment.
My goal is to instill a love of music into each child, develop music literacy, and create well-rounded musicians because music belongs to everyone.
